Kids around the world, between the ages of 6 and 12, can participate in this drawing and design competition that Penny Marathon organizes for the second time this year.
The charity, based somewhere between Greece and Australia (!) is asking children to draw or design something “about the main aim of the Penny Marathon, which is to help save the lives of stray and unwanted companion animals (cats and dogs). For example, the drawing can show how it is important to show kindness and compassion to animals or how much love and happiness these animals give us. It might also be about the marathon itself, with people and animals running together. It needs to include the words “Penny Marathon”.”
The first three shortlisted drawings or designs will receive a prize and the winning design will be printed on the Penny Marathon’s cotton t shirts for this year. These t shirts are an important way for the Penny Marathon to spread the message but also a way for them to raise money to help save the lives of these animals.
The dimensions are A4 size vertical on white paper. You can and email the artwork to firstname.lastname@example.org, including the child’s full name, age and the city and country that they are from. The charity asks parents to keep the original artwork to use for printing purposes or for a future exhibition. The deadline is March 31, 2017.
The Penny Marathon is a lot of things, but most of all, it is a charity that tries to be original and fun. The actual marathon will be in July 2017 , and runners and participants will run around various cities in Greece and Australia, spreading the message – and spreading a message through the eyes of a child is so cool, and so unique.
