It wasn’t easy to choose among all of them, but these are (I think) the ten most inspiring of all Greek rescues I witnessed in 2016 and I am more than proud to have met them all. So here they are (in a random order).
Petri, rescued by SPAZ at three moths old, recovered from mange and adopted.
Combo, rescue by Save a Greek Stray. Found with mange, leishmaniasis, matted, starving and with his microchip removed. Adopted.
Pablo, rescued by Save a Greek Sray, found almost dead, exhausted and sick. For adoption.
The Shepherd, rescued by SPAZ. Found mutilated, sick and starving. Adopted.
Myra, rescued by Save a Greek Stray. Malnourished and sick with mange at only 2 months old. Adopted.
Sirocco, rescued by Save a Greek Stray. Found emaciated and with chemical burns all over his body. For adoption.
Oscar, rescued by Save a Greek Stray. Found very sick, partially blind and being bullied by a pack of stray dogs. For adoption.
Eri, rescued by Save a Greek Stray. Found wandering the streets, sick with leishmaniasis and mange. For adoption.
Agra, rescued by Save a Greek Stray. Sick with mange and leishmaniasis. Adopted.
Oliver, rescued by Penny Marathon. Found sick, starving and extremely fearful. Adopted.
