Rescue begins the minute you first spot the animal and ends with a forever home. Oliver’s story started almost three years ago, but it still hasn’t ended. After surviving for a long time as a living dead, he was rescued back in 2014, and is still looking for a home. Continue reading Rescue Dog With Amazing Recovery Waiting 3 Years For A Home

Sarcoptic And Demodectic Mange In Dogs
Sarcoptic and demodectic mange have been providing the most amazing before- after rescue stories in animal welfare. Especially sarcoptic mange can make a dog appear so gruesome, that after the treatment, the question “is that the same dog?” is more than common. Continue reading Sarcoptic And Demodectic Mange In Dogs
Visiting A Rescue Friend – What A Forever Home Can Do
Visiting a rescue dog in his/her forever home is awesome. Rescue is just a part of their story and adoption is what makes it complete. No matter how much we rescuers try to help them reach their potential, we can never do what a forever home does. Continue reading Visiting A Rescue Friend – What A Forever Home Can Do
Greek DA Defies The Animal Welfare Law Simply Because She Feels Like It
Greek animal welfare is like…what Rubik’s cube is to most people: it’s obvious that it can be done, and once you are almost there, a piece (of shit) comes along and spoils the whole structure, obliging you to take the whole thing apart again. Why Do Dogs Eat Or Shred Paper?
Why do some dogs like to shred paper items, or even eat them? I always wondered about that, so I finally googled it. It turns out that shredding papers is a totally different behavior from actually consuming it. Continue reading Why Do Dogs Eat Or Shred Paper?

Rescue Pointers – The Shelter’s Most Precious Jewel
Rescue Pointers? We just can’t have enough. Rescue comes in all forms, colors, sizes, and breeds. Personally, I am huge mix breed fan, and will continue to – there’s no evidence to the opposite so far. But it’s been about a year I volunteer at the Save a Greek Stray shelter, and it is where I got to meet… THE POINTERS! Continue reading Rescue Pointers – The Shelter’s Most Precious Jewel
Dog Owners Other Dog Owners Are Ashamed Of
Dog owners mostly consider themselves a pack, a small society within the society, that only have each other to support, rely on and respect. Threatened by the non-dog owners (those weird people who …don’t have a dog!), most dog owners will see another dog owner as someone they can trust. Donkey’s World- A Sanctuary For A Very Underestimated Pet
Donkey’s World has been my “go to” place for quite some time now. In a country like Greece, where donkey’s are either considered an “old school” useless tool, replaced by all terrain cars and basically going extinct, or being exploited for profit, and serving as a tourist attraction, Donkey’s world is like a an oasis in the desert. Swimming Therapy For Rescue Dog Hit By Car
Swimming ah physiotherapy will be helping Joy gain back her smile. On October 4, 2016, in a suburb of Athens, Greece, she was hit by a car and left there, on the side of the road, to suffer in agony and pain, until the rescuers got to her. It’s hard to tell if she was recently abandoned or just lost, but nobody has come forward to claim her so far, and I don’t think anyone ever will.
