Meet Giannoula, the first rescued sheep ❤ that was rehomed from Greece to Holland!
Greece is a country where the stray dogs are everywhere. Abandoned or born on the streets, no matter how much the organizations are trying to spay, neuter and educate, it’s impossible to keep the numbers down. For every dog that is rescued from the streets, a dozen more pop up the next day.
Puppies without tomorrow, born in the wrong place at the wrong time. Unwanted, dumped somewhere in the middle of nowhere, left to fend for themselves.
On January 29 2017, a volunteer received an anonymous call (those people never have a name) about a dog struggling to stay afloat in the river Mornos, next to the town of Nafpactos, Greece.
In July 2018, in Mani, Greece, the volunteers of the Animal Protection Society “Melios” were called about this dog.
